Meet Kathleen

Please allow us to introduce Kathleen, the latest member of our team. She’ll be the friendly smile at reception as well as helping us with sterilising and assisting behind the scenes. Kathleen is with us part time as she’s completing her oral therapy/hygiene course at AUT. She’s also a lifeguard in her spare time and competes in surf boat rowing.

Spring Clean Your Smile

Spring is upon us and while you’re thinking of cleaning the cobwebs from your house, leave a thought for your teeth!

A professional dental clean at least twice a year can help prevent gum disease, bleeding gums and smelly breath. Our gentle hygienist Morgan will remove the sticky build up and clean the hard to reach places – leaving your mouth feeling fresh, healthy and with a squeaky clean smile.

Morgan will also show you the best way you can clean your teeth at home as well as check for signs of mouth cancer. Keeping your smile strong and healthy for life.

Sports Mouthguards at WM Dental

Do you play hockey, football, basketball, rugby without a mouthguard?

A custom made mouthguard from your dentist can help prevent damage to the teeth, jaws and lips, and has shown to decrease the risk of concussions. Basketball NZ has made mouth guards compulsory for all school basketball as of 2016.

Over the counter mouth guards from the chemist/sports store cannot offer the protection and comfort of a custom made mouth guard.

Call us now to book an appointment to protect your teeth or your child’s teeth.

Domonique & Morgan feature in the North Shore Times

Dentist Domonique Joe and Hygienist Morgan Clark feature in the December 1st, 2015 edition of the North Shore Times. We have been volunteering our time visiting local daycares and Primary Schools educating kids and parents that ‘Good Dental Health Starts Early.’
“A dentist wants to get kids excited about brushing their teeth. Dr Domonique Joe, left, of WM Dental in Mairangi Bay, received a grant of $1000 from the Wrigley Company Foundation for dental promotion with children. She and dental therapist Morgan Clark, right, have been visiting North Shore schools and early childhood centres since September. Joe says there aren’t any programmes like this and as a parent she could see the importance of teaching kids from a young age about oral health. The grant will help cover material costs for information packs with pamphlets and toothbrushes to give to children.”

Supporting Our Community

Morgan and Domonique are pleased to announce they have received a Community Service Grant courtesy of Wrigleys to help promote oral health amongst Daycare and Primary School Children. The aim is to get the kids excited about their teeth, teaching them the importance of regular brushing, a good diet and how to brush and floss. Each child will take home their own goody bag with a tooth brush, floss and brushing chart. If you would like us to visit your school, please contact us as we would love the opportunity to spread the word – Good Dental Health Starts Early.
