We would like to introduce our new hygienist joining the WM team, Rachelle.
Rachelle is a local living on the North Shore. Previously working in the city, she has decided to join WM, and is enjoying the short commute to work.
She studied at AUT for 3 years graduating as an oral health therapist.
Her interests include film.
We have been looking for a hygienist for a while and Rachelle came highly recommended by patients and colleagues.
As a registered oral health therapist with the NZ Dental Council, Rachelle will help us provide comprehensive patient care for complete oral health.

WM Dental says goodbye to one of our finest – Dr Phil Martin

To all my dental patients over the years,

Do you remember when the All Blacks won their first Rugby World Cup? Where were you when the whole country was singing “Sailing Away”? Back then milk was even delivered to your door in glass bottles. It was certainly a much simpler time. Back in that day was when my career started as a dentist.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and treat many wonderful families over the years. Thank you for trusting me with your care, the care of your children, and in some cases your children’s children. It has been both a pleasure and a privilege.

My final days at WM Dental will be September 2019. I am more than happy to see you before then. Please feel free to give the practice a call.

For your continuing care I am happy to hand you over to Dr Greg Chiu and Dr Domonique Joe. Many of you will have met them already. I can’t speak highly enough of them. I have no hesitation in recommending them to take over your care.

Lastly, thank you again for allowing me to look after you as your dentist.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Phil Martin

Welcome Carolyn to our team

2019 is going to be great. Especially as we now have a new team member on board.

Carolyn Thrupp has joined WM Dental, and will be working in reception alongside Jane and Helen. Carolyn comes from an account manager background, working with people and meeting their needs. We know she will be able to help you too.

Carolyn is a North Shore local. She enjoys sailing, good company and healthy food. Ask about her secret special talent too – Carolyn loves to paint :)

When you meet Carolyn, do give her a warm welcome. We feel she is a great addition to our WM Dental family.

Have you met Helen?

Helen joined us last year as a temp nurse, we liked her so much, we kept her! Helen has over 30 years of working in hospital and private practice. Coming to New Zealand from Yorkshire 12 years ago, Helen has a great sense of humour and an encyclopaedic knowledge of classic British rock bands!

We’ll miss you Kendall!

Kendall, our evening receptionist has recently graduated as a hygienist/oral health therapist from AUT. Congrats Kendall! Unfortunately it means we lose our highly valued and friendly smile Kendall as she moves on to treat her very own patients in Kerikeri! It has been a pleasure working with you these past 2 years. Good luck Kendall. We will miss you.

Happy 5th Anniversary Soon

Soon has been part of our WM family for 5 years now and how invaluable she has been! Soon is our full time dental assistant, working with dentists Domonique, Greg and Phil.

Soon has been dental assisting for 21 years. With her vast and variable experience, she is able to anticipate what our patients and dentists need to ensure that all treatment rooms are running smoothly.

Soon is the mother of two boys and has recently become a grandmother. She enjoys cooking, watching movies and going to church.

Soon is always smiling. She has a cheerful and caring nature, a big part of making WM Dental a great place to visit.

Thank you Soon!

Meet Aarti – WM’s New Hygienist

We would like to (re)-introduce our hygienist/oral health therapist Aarti Eason. Some of you may recognise Aarti as she had worked for WM Dental previously. We are very happy to welcome back Aarti’s friendly, gentle and caring nature back into our team.

Have you had your teeth professionally cleaned this year? Book now by calling Jane on 4785233, or email us reception@wmdental.co.nz

Morgan’s Last Day

Morgan, our oral health therapist is now on her way to London for the big O.E. We wish her well on her travels. We’ll miss you Morgan.

Bon Voyage Morgan

After over 3 1/2 years, we say a sad au revoir to our oral health therapist and great friend Morgan Clark. Morgan is off to London at the end of March to start her next adventure. You will be truly missed by all of us.

“Thank you all for trusting me with your smiles. It has been a pleasure to get to know you all over the past few years. I do hope to be back with the team at WM Dental one day. I will be sure to keep the team updated with all my adventures and I’m sure they will keep you all updated also. Thank you again for all your support. Until we meet again, keep smiling.” Morgan Clark

Auckland City Mission

Auckland City Mission helps those families most in need, so on Friday 12th January 2018, we closed for the day and volunteered at their distribution centre in Grafton to help them.
We packed emergency food parcels for families and sorted donated clothing and food.
Auckland City Mission sees that those struggling families get a helping hand, it was great know that we could be a part of this. As a team, we had a great time together too.
