Get Mouth Fit Like All Black Captain Kieran Reid

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN GET MOUTH FIT
Did you know that your oral health is strongly linked to your overall health and wellbeing.

So while many of us may focus on our physical health and fitness, getting Mouth Fit is about having a great oral health routine, ensuring your whole mouth stays as healthy as possible.

Don’t rush the brush

Getting mouth fit begins with better brushing. Dentists recommend brushing for two minutes twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and a soft brush.

Floss like a boss

Flossing your teeth is really important to remove the plaque your brush can’t reach. Dentists recommend flossing once a day, usually before bed.

Rinse like a winner

Rinsing gives you up to 12 hours protection against germs, getting into all those hard to reach areas, and keeps your mouth fresh, even in between eating and drinking.

Make a date with your dentist

How long has it been since you’ve seen your dentist? You should have a check-up at least once a year to ensure that your teeth stay healthy, and to catch any potential issues before it’s too late.

Retire your old brush

Did you know that a new brush is much more effective at removing plaque than a brush that is 3 months old? Can you remember how long it’s been since you last changed your brush?

Why A Healthy Mouth Is Good For Your Body

Oral health isn’t just about nice teeth. Studies have shown links between gum disease and obesity, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes and preterm birth.

If you don’t already have enough reasons to take good care of your mouth, teeth and gums; the relationship between the health of your mouth and your overall health provides even more.

Resolve to practice good oral hygiene every day. You’re making an investment in your overall health, not just for now, but for your future too.

Happy 22nd Anniversary Jane

Jane is a wonderful and prized member of WM Dental. Without her, we wouldn’t be the same. She’s the oil in our wheels. As another milestone is reached, we asked Jane what the journey has been like for her:

1. When did you start at WM Dental? – March 1995, upstairs at Halls Arcade in Takapuna.

2. What’s the funniest thing you can remember? – APRIL FOOLS DAY – in a box of gloves we cut one finger off many gloves and tricked Soon that they were faulty. She was going to Notify the supplier!

3. What’s the best thing about working here? – Fantastic team & bosses. Catching up with patients that I have gotten to know over the last 22 years.

4. What’s the best thing about living on the North Shore? – It still has that “community spirit”

5. Favourite place to eat? Or best place to brunch? – Anywhere overseas!!

We love you Jane, here’s to another 22!
